Terms of Use
Last updated: November 5, 2026
These terms apply when you play Onceborn. By downloading or launching the game you agree to them. Apple’s standard license agreement for App Store apps also applies.
1. The game. Onceborn is a work of fiction: you live an imagined life, and choices change the odds, but not everything. All people, events and coincidences in the game are fictional. The game gives no advice — medical, financial, legal or otherwise.
2. Themes. The heroes’ lives include illness, loss, death, addiction and conflict. The game is intended for the age shown in the App Store. If something in the game touches you personally, Settings has a “Where to find help” section.
3. Worlds and purchases. “Born Elsewhere” is free. Other worlds are bought in the app through the App Store; a purchase unlocks the world on all your devices with the same Apple ID and can be restored in Settings. Apple handles payment and refunds under its own rules — please contact Apple about refunds.
4. Trial life. You can live one life in any paid world for free — once, ever. A trial life you have started cannot be started again, in the same world or another.
5. Your lives and updates. Your lives and settings are stored only on your device; we keep no cloud copies. We update the worlds: sometimes after a major update a life in progress can’t be continued — the game will tell you, and your lived lives stay in the archive. Deleting the app deletes your saves.
6. Fair use. Don’t try to hack the game, bypass purchases or the trial limit, or extract and distribute its texts, illustrations or music. The game and all its content belong to Mykola Noskov; you get the right to play it for yourself.
7. No warranty. We work hard to make the game run well, but provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, including lost saves.
8. Changes. We may update these terms; the new version will appear on this page with its date. By continuing to play after an update you accept the new version.
9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
